Privacy Policy

How we look after your information.

This policy explains what information we collect from the people and organizations that use our site and tools.

Last UpdatedJanuary 2025

Short summary of this policy

This is a summary, written to be quick to read. It is not a substitute for the full policy set out below.

  • We collect information about organizations, not about patients.
  • We use it to measure how far the toolkit reaches and to improve it.
  • We never collect patient names, health records, or any other patient data.
  • You can ask to see, correct, or delete your account information.

The Empathy in Medicine Initiative (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our website and tools.

What we collect: organization information only.

This is the full list:

  • Organization name and type
  • Your role within the organization
  • Estimated number of tool users
  • Country/region (optional)
  • How you heard about us (optional)
  • Account information (name, email)
The toolkit is for clinicians and educators. No patient names, no health records, no identifiers. Nothing about an individual patient ever touches our servers.
